FZR 600 Starter Clutch Cover (Peanut)

I need to replace my clutch cover because the previous owner dropped the bike on the right side. I already got myself a new undamaged cover, but what process do I need to follow to replace this thing? Do I definitely need a new gasket? Do I need to drain the oil in the bike?
